Salim Ghauri, one of most successful individuals in the field of Information Technology in Pakistan whose journey began from the fundamental ground and elevated to where he stands i.e. midst the prominent faces of the nation.He completed his Bachelors in Computer Science from The University of Punjab then took his career starting at Citibank in Riyadh, 1979 which he quited to start a venture, after which he initiated a Software House and Training Institute in Dammam, Saudi Arabia and was also appointed as the Chairman of Pakistan Software Housing Association.
Technology was at its infancy in Pakistan limiting the growth of opportunities, this is when Ghauri founded NetSol Technologies Inc. in the year 1996. NetSol – Pakistan’s largest IT Solution providing company that is being used throughout the world is where he served as a chairman, Executive Director and Director in 1999 and is still looking after The Asia Pacific regional operations. The firm has received CMMI Level five certification and today stands as one of the most widespread service exporter and the first Pakistani firm to be listed in NASDAQ.
Ghauri received NCR IT Excellence Award 2003-04 for his efforts in the progress and prosperity of Pakistan’s Information Technology Industry and today he is recognized as the Founding Father who made the mark of Pakistan on IT’s globe.
